Palm Sepsis Tool
Handhelddoc.com is a site developed for medical practitioners (physicians, nurses, prehospital care providers, medical students, etc.) providing access to decision making tools quickly, at the click of a button. From the website, tools can be directly downloaded onto a Palm handheld device or there is a link to access them from the handheld or desktop browser. There are a variety of helpful programs to view including sepsis early goal directed therapy as well as a compendium of emergency medicine rules and guidance for the management of ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. Cinci Stroke is based on the 2007 guidelines published by the AHA for acute ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke. View this animation on the product:
These Palm OS-based PDA programs were developed by Michael Ward MD, MBA. Dr. Ward attended Emory University School of Medicine followed by the Goizueta Business School at Emory University and is currently a resident in Emergency Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. The programs were developed in NS Basic for the Palm and are free.
