Attend The One-Day Rapid Response System Training

Obtain the skills needed to advance your team’s functionality and develop a capable, seasoned rapid response system (RRS) program during the Society of Critical Care Medicine’s Rapid Response System Training. This concentrated, one-day course outlines methods to better work and communicate as a team in crisis situations, as well as providing instructions on how to approach, effectively and efficiently, various clinical problems based on system-calling criteria. The course will include a brief overview of the rationale, evidence, and structure of rapid response systems; the anatomy of an RRT call; and tips for effective communications and crisis management. Participants will break into small workgroups to circulate through interactive modules that troubleshoot calls on airway, breathing, circulation, neurology, and implementation barriers and solutions. Course faculty will encourage participants to share ideas as views of different system structures, such as physician- and non-physician-led approaches to RRS training design, are analyzed.

Who Should Attend

Nurses, respiratory therapists, physicians, pharmacists, physiotherapists, administrators, educators, and other healthcare professionals who participate in an RRS program. Course participants will benefit from prior clinical experience in the care of acutely ill patients.

As a registered participant of Rapid Response System training, you will receive a comprehensive, take-home workbook containing systematic algorithms, detailed graphics, faculty slides, and real-world case studies. You will refer to this invaluable tool far beyond the conclusion of this training.
